Song of the Day: WhoMadeWho – “The Sun”
A friend recently recommend this track and album to me and I couldn't deny it's funky beat. WhoMadeWho is a Scandinavian indie rock, dance punk band that formed in 2003, so you know they are good. "The Sun" is off their 4th studio album, Brighter. Check them out on your local music listening device, player, etc.
Song of the Day: STRFKR – “Julius”

If you are one of five people, you may remember us posting a Starfucker song over one year ago. "Bury Us Alive" is from their 2011 album, Reptilians. In preparation of their new album, Miracle Mile (Feb. 19th, Listen to "Say to You" ), I have been re-listening to Reptilians and remembering why I ever listened to it more than once. Because it's awesome.
Today's Song of the Day is "Julius". Watch the video below. Two young teens go medieval on each other for the love of a girl. It gets pretty dark near the end. Heads are chopped off. Horses trample towns people. People are sunburned pretty bad. It's an all out massacre.
Not really. The good one beats the bad one and he gets the girl.

Song of the Day: Jack White – “Freedom At 21″

Jack White's 2012 album Blunderbuss has made a few top of lists this year. Recently I have finally giving it a fair shot and can say I am enjoying it immensely. If you have ever liked Jack in any form you'll get a kick out of Blunderbuss.
Here is the video for "Freedom At 21", the second single from Blunderbuss. It's fast. It's sexy. It's a great song. Give it a listen, and if you like it check out the full album!
Listen and watch "Sixteen Saltines" also from Blunderbuss.
Song of the Day: Modest Mouse – “Florida”
We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank is in my top 2 most played albums, and quite possibly the most. It's singable, the lyrics are relevant (to me) and poignant, and there is not one song on it that I dislike. I know I'm in the Modest Mouse fan minority, but this album is their best. If you have never listened to it, you can on Youtube right here. So you have no excuse, unless you have a life. That one might be acceptable.
Take a listen to "Florida" and if you like it listen to the full album on Youtube, or click that image over there and buy it on Amazon.

Song of the Day: Alt-J – “Tessellate”
I have been jamming to this Alt-J album a lot recently. An Awesome Wave, came out May of 2012 and has had the privilege of making many blogs top of year lists. Such as: Listen Before You Buy, The De Mello Theory, A Has Been That Never Was, The Needle Drop, and more .
I had trouble deciding which song from the album should hold the prestiges title of 'Song of the Day' but ultimately landed on "Tessellate" which has an okay video to accompany it. I don't fully get it, but it's interesting enough. Lots of grillz, if that's your thing.
