You ever come across a song that just encapsulates where ever your life's at or whatever you're feeling? Well Pat Stansik's, a.k.a. Patty Stans, newest release by the name of "I'm 24" is my life (and I'm sure yours as well). As a 24 year old, and after talking with all the other 24 year-olds I know (hint; one person), we have concluded that Pat has been follow us around for the past year and made a song about it. Never has a song hit so close to home as "I'm 24," just look at the lyrics:
"I don't want to get married but I could see myself settling down in a few years if I met the right girl"
"I would worry about my age but why even bother, honestly I'm just glad that I'm not anyones father"
"Spent too much on dinner but I don't even care because in case you weren't aware, I'm a multi-thousandaire"
"Thinkin' about my future and it's making me weary especially cause I think my back's getting kind of hairy"
Pat, like myself, is a recent Michigan grad and we're actually pretty similar. We both are lacrosse players except he played at a much higher level. We both don't like our jobs, except for the fact that he's very happy with his job as he is going to be filming Hoodie Allen's summer tour. We both tell jokes, except his are funny. We're both tall and have shaggy blonde hair, except I'm not tall and have buzzed brown hair. He was/is a frequenter of Rick's, and I have a friend that works there. I mean, we're pretty much the same person.
Anyway, he actually made a video for his song so check that out below. Also, definitely take a look at his other videos and his tumblr as he is actually pretty funny and will probably end up writing for something like SNL, Parks and Rec, or Workaholics. LATE 1987's RISE UP!
